Part I Useful Sentences 惯用单句
1. 劳驾,服务员。Excuse me, please.
Oh, miss! 嘿,小姐!
注:汉语男服务员对应单词waiter,女服务员对应waitress。但在美国waiter通常被当作一种专业的职业,因此我们叫服务生的时候,最好不要直呼“Waiter”。
2. 我们的食物还没来。We haven’t got our food yet. = Our food hasn’t arrived yet.
3. 我没有点这个菜。I didn’t order this. = This isn’t what I wanted.
4. 这还是生的。This is raw.
raw [rɔː] adj. (食物)生的,未经加工的,原始的
It’s a little overdone. 有点老了。
overdone [ˌəʊvəˈdʌn] adj. (食物)烧得太熟(或太久)的
5. 请再给我拿一个盘子好吗?Could I please have another plate?
I need some napkins and toothpicks. 我需要一些餐巾纸和牙签。

问:How about having some soup? 要不要喝些汤?
7. 它一点也不新鲜了。It isn’t fresh at all.
It’s too salty and oily. 这又咸又油腻。

注:除了酸甜咸辣之外,其他影响口感的情况:凉了(cold)、发苦(bitter)、肥腻(fatty)、有腥味的(fishy)。
