      Chinese Youth Day, in memory of a patriotic campaign of Chinese students in May.4.1919, is a holiday for Chinese youth. The original purpose of this campaign is to oppose imperialism and feudalism. This holiday was announced by special authorization of the central people's government of China in December, 1949. During this holiday, many provinces of China have various memorial activities. Young people will do some volunteer works or society practice activities, or hold some coming-of-age ceremony. Whatever activities young people do, the core content is patriot, advance, democracy and science.
