A credit card is a payment card that allows the cardholder to pay for goods and services based on the holder's promise to pay for them at a later date. A credit card is different from a debit card in that payments using a debit card are transferred from the cardholder's designated bank account immediately. The top 5 credit card brands with the most worldwide transactions are Visa, MasterCard, American Express, China UnionPay and JCB (by Japan Credit Bureau).
