Communication on Plane Doors
PIL: Morning, ground. Could you confirm the cargo door was really closed?
GND: Sure, what’s the matter, cockpit?
PIL: Our ECAM shows the cargo door is still open.
GND: OK, wait a moment, please. I will have a check on it.
PIL: Thanks very much.
(After checking the cargo door.)
GND: Cockpit, the door is closed actually.
PIL: Sure?
GND: Does the ECAM show the door is still open?
PIL: Affirm, you’d better come up to take a look. Thank you.
GND: Ok, on my way.
(Before the departure of the aircraft, everything is ready except the cargo that the porters are still loading onto the aircraft. )
PIL: Cockpit to ground.
GND: Go ahead.
PIL: Now we notify the after cargo door(bulk door)is still open. How long could they finish the loading?
GND: Wait a minute! I'll go to have a look.
(After checking out the situation)
GND: Ground to cockpit.
PIL: Go ahead.
GND: Because the FMC (belt loader) has problem at the doorway, we can't close the door with equipment there.
We had asked GSE staff to fix it. I will inform you if it is done.
